Chili Burgers Recipe
Not your ordinary burger. Spiced up with chili sauce and sausage. Makes the everyday hamburger a bit thicker and adds that extra, well needed flavor without a lot of time around the grill..

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/3 cup chili sauce, tomato-based
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Directions
  1. Preheat your grill at high heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate.
  2. Combine the Italian sausage, beef, chili sauces, salt and pepper in a medium sized bowl. Shape into 8 balls of meat, then flatten into patties.
  3. Grill for 5 minutes per side, or until well done. Serve on buns with the preferred toppings.
  4. NOTE: You may use more chili sauce, as desired, in patties; I usually almost double the amount, which creates a extremely moist burger, but keep in mind it also falls apart easily.
