Sorullitos De Maíz (cornsticks)

- 2 C water shopping list
- 1 tsp salt or Adobo shopping list
- 1 1/2 C yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1/2 c Grated cheddar cheese shopping list
- 3 c corn oil shopping list
How to make it
- Bring water to a boil with the salt in a small saucepan. Add the cornmeal reduce the heat to low and cook. Stirring constantly for 3 to 5 mins until thickened. Remove the pot from the heat and add the grated cheese. Let the mixture cool a little than shape 2 tblsp of the dough into a stick about 3 inches long. Repeat with the remaining dough. Heat oil in a skillet until hot not smoking and fry until golden brown on all sides.
