How to make it

  • Line your 12 qt Dutch Oven with Aluminum Foil or place your deep aluminum foil pie tin inside the Dutch Oven
  • Coat the sides of the foil with vegetable oil
  • Pour the contents of both Cans of pie filling into the bottom of the lined Dutch Oven
  • Pour contents of cake mix over pie filling
  • Pour 1 full can and 1 half can of soda over cake mix (Do Not Mix)
  • Break chocolate bar into small pieces and place over top of cake/soda mix
  • Cover Dutch oven and place on top of 8 to 10 hot coals
  • Place 12 to 15 coals on top of Dutch Oven
  • Turn Dutch Oven 1/4 turn every 15 minutes
  • Replace coals as needed while cooking
  • Cobbler should take about 1 hour to cook
