Dutch Oven Apple Spice Cobbler

- 1/8 Cup of brown sugar shopping list
- 1/8 Cup of sugar shopping list
- 1/4 Tsp of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 Tsp of nutmeg shopping list
- 12 Qt Dutch Oven shopping list
- aluminum foil or Deep Aluminum Pie Tin shopping list
- vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 Cans of Country apple pie filling shopping list
- 1 Box of spice cake mix shopping list
- 2 cans of 7 up shopping list
How to make it
- Mix the brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a small bowl and set aside for the time being
- Line your 12 qt Dutch Oven with foil or pie tin
- Coat the sides of the foil with vegetable oil
- Pour the cans of pie filling into the Dutch Oven
- Pour cake mix over pie filling
- Pour 1 full can and 1 half can of 7 Up over cake mix and pie filling (Do not mix)
- Sprinkle your mixture of spices on top of the contents of the Dutch Oven and cover with the lid
- Place over 8 to 10 hot coals and place 12 to 15 hot coals on top of Dutch Oven
- Rotate Dutch Oven about once every 15 minutes
- Replace coals as needed while cooking
- Cooking time is about 1 hour
