    Made my son's 1st birthday cake with this recipe. Loved it so much the first time round that I decided to glaze it with icing and decorations and voila it became a beautiful birthday cake!

    This is just like the BHG cookbook recipe with same name circa 1960-1980. By the time I bought my own BHG cookbook at 18, they had taken this recipe out. As a kid, I must have made this cake 100 times and had the recipe memorized!
