How to make it

  • Mix with a mixer the butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Add the flour,applesauce,oats,bran,milk powder,egg white,soda,cinnamon,baking powder,salt and cloves.
  • Mix on low speed just until combined,stir in raisins and walnuts.
  • Spray baking sheet with 'Bakers Joy'
  • Place cookie dough on sheet about two to three inches apart,spread dough so each cookie is about two inches across.
  • Bake in a three hundred seventy five degree oven for ten minutes,or,until set.
  • Cool on wire rack.
  • Spread bottoms of half the cooled cookies with one tablespoon cream cheese,or,peanut butter,top with remaining unfrosted cookies.
  • Chill until serving,or,wrap and freeze.
  • These are large fist sized cookies,great to tote,and a good grab on the way out the door.
  • A canteen of cold milk to go with...and you have started your day in a good way.
