Cranberry Apple Salsa
From RetiredCook 9 years agoIngredients
- 1 cup jellied cranberry sauce shopping list
- 1/3 cup diced apple shopping list
- 2 green onions, minced shopping list
- 3/4 tsp balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard shopping list
- 3 tsp candied jalapeno or 2 tsp. minced jalapeno plus 1/2 tsp. honey shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 2 Tbs chopped roasted pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all the ingredients and taste for degree of heat you like – adding more jalapeno if necessary. Chill for a couple of hours to meld the flavors.
- Notes:
- 1. I’m on the road in an RV traveling around the country, so I’m making use of pantry items, but the salsa would be wonderful made with freshly cooked (or leftover) cranberries, also.
- 2. I have a beautiful jar of Candied Jalapenos which I’ve been adding to just about everything. If you don’t have, substitute minced fresh jalapeno and sweeten with honey to taste.
