How to make it

  • Boil the fish in a closed vessel with some turmeric powder and salt. Cook for 20 mins and then remove from flame.
  • After cooling it down, drain the water and peel the skin off the fish.
  • Shred the fish and set aside. See Photo
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds, cinnamon and cloves.
  • Add onion, garlic , green chillies and turmeric powder. Fry till onions are translucent.
  • Add the shredded fish and a pinch of salt. Keep frying until the color of fish changes.
  • Finally add pepper and curry leaves and remove from flame.
