Manakeesh - Pies: Thyme, Meat, Cheese

- One cup warm milk shopping list
- One Egg shopping list
- Two and half cups flour shopping list
- One tablespoon sugar shopping list
- Half teaspoon salt shopping list
- One tablespoon yeast shopping list
- One tablespoon Honey shopping list
- 4 tablespoons Olive oil shopping list
- Suggested Filling: shopping list
- 1/3 cup dry Thyme, ½ cup olive oil, cumin, 1 tablespoon sumac, salt, and sesame seeds shopping list
- 100 grams parmesan, 100 grams feta cheese or halloum, sesame seeds. shopping list
- 200 grams sautéed minced beef with onions(one small one), pomegranate sauce tablespoon, 3 minced garlic,4 tablespoons minced parsley and peeled pureed tomato. shopping list

- Fresh tomato slices, fresh cucumber slices, fresh green mint, fresh onion slices, slices of olives, fresh savory cucumber relish or Armenian cucumber pickles. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Mix two tablespoons warm milk with honey and yeast and leave for 15 minutes.
- 2. Mix the sugar, flour, and with remaining milk with fork.
- 3. Add the yeast and roll into a ball above the olive oil
- 4. Leave the dough to rest for two hours.
- 5. Refrigerate overnight. Then take out for rolling
- 6. When rolling it out, take a ball fold in half paint with olive oil, fold again and flatten, then roll out and let rest for 15 minutes, press with your fingers to make craters then poke with fork. Circles should not be thicker than 1 cm each.
- 7. Paint generously a tray with olive oil and place circles of your dough painted with the fillings you chose and bake for 10-15 minutes on lower thermostat then 3-5 minutes upper thermostat.
