From MsCookingMA 8 years agoIngredients
- 1/2 cup of light butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup of white sugar (if you prefer brown sugar, you can use it) shopping list
- 3 tbsp of pecan (optional, you may use almonds if you prefer) shopping list
- 2 tbsp of vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 cup of flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda shopping list
- 1/3 teaspoon of salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 1/3 cup of meted nutella shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 175c | 350° F. Line a 9 inch cast iron skillet or a pie dish with baking/parchment paper.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, butter, and vanilla. Then whisk until light and creamy. Add the egg and whisk again until the ingredients are completely combined.
- 3. Add the flour, baking soda and salt, and mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
- 4. Incorporate in half the chocolate chips and spoon ½ the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- 5. Melt the nutella over stove top in a heat-proof mini bowl over a pot of boiling water until it becomes thin.
- 6. Pour the Nutella over the cookie dough in the skillet evenly. Top with remaining cookie dough, smoothing the layer with the back of a metal spoon.
- 7. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top. Optional: you can add 2 tbsp of pecans sprinkled along with the chocolate chips.
- 8. For a gooey cookie, bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes (depending on your oven). For a set cookie, after the thirty minutes, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 10 more minutes.
- 9. Let the cookie cool down for about ten minutes and you're ready to go!
