Ingredients

How to make it

  • The Whiskey...visually,it has a warm, rich, look to it...when you open it up it has some light notes of oak stave, and fresh saddle leather...a peppery rich taste of toasted nuts, and honey...fairly long and intense with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
  • But,then of course your will need the Hair of the Dog in the morning :o)
  • ~ so ~
  • Ye' shall have Irish Coffee made from a bottle that commemorates a battle many years ago,a eighty proof Clontarf 1014...As Brian Boru the High King of Ireland duked it out with Mael Morda mac Murchada, unfortunately the High King Boru lost his life when some Norsemen in the hire of the Mael Morda slew him as they fled the battlefield...and because of this,Ireland became many small kingdoms and all Brian's work toward uniting Ireland was lost for centuries.
  • ~ and ~
  • Ye' shall also have Steel Cut Oats laden with Mozart R.G. Chocolate Cream Liqueur
  • ~ and ~
  • Dry Toast...on the side...for your 'New Years Resolution' is that you don't want any jam or jelly floating in your Irish Whiskey as you dunk the tip of your toast in :o)
  • ~ and ~
  • Then your feverish brain starts to reel as you are thinking...January the first may get a tad cold in the evening time and you don't want him leaving with a chill...so,that tincup is hanging on the wall just beckoning for a call.
  • Okay...Sure!
  • Just this once...
  • This is a red hot punch...spicy and warm, perfect for an evening spent nestled next to the fireplace.
  • Completely peel four oranges, avoiding the white pith...add the orange peels to a mixing bowl with some raw sugar...and muddle about a bit...grinding the sugar into the oils then allow to stand for about forty minutes or so while the sugar pulls the oils from the peels...you also placed into a spice foldy uppy some allspice, whole cloves, and cinnamon stick...you will pour boiling water over the sugar and orange peels until the sugar is completely dissolved, you will then remove the orange peels and add the spice foldy uppy and let it sit all comfortable like until you have taken one bottle of Tincup Whiskey off the wall shelf, and added some pomegranate liqueur, and some ruby port wine with the fresh orange juice for the oranges that you have peeled...add these all together and pour into a larger slow cooker and keep warm on low...ladle and serve, garnished with a clove studded orange disk and a cinnamon stick...
  • Stoke the fire...stroke the strings!
  • ~ HAPPY...HAPPY ~
