Homemade Pie Crust

- • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted. shopping list
- • 1 tsp. salt. shopping list
- • 2⁄3 cup butter or 2⁄3 cup shortening. shopping list
- • 5 -7 Tbs. cold water. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Put flour into a mixing bowl with the butter.
- 2. Using a pastry cutter, cut the butter into the flour.
- 3. add salt and water.
- 4. Mix until dough is formed and knead a few times.
- 5. Divide dough in half.
- 6. Roll out each half on flat surface.
- 7. Fit one piecrust to the pie pan.
- 8. Fill with pie ingredients.
- 9. Cover with second pie crust and press edges together.
- 10. Pierce top crust with a sharp knife.
- 11. Bake according to pie recipe directions.
- 12. Remove and let cool.
