Penne All'arrabbiata

- 28-oz can of crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 2 cloves of garlic shopping list
- 1 T tomato paste shopping list
- 1 pepperoncini shopping list
- 2 t red chili flakes shopping list
- ½ c pecorino shopping list
- 1 lb penne shopping list
- Italian parsley shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- salt shopping list
How to make it
- 1 Mince the garlic and pepperoncini. Briefly sauté in hot oil, careful not to burn.
- 2 Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, parsley, chili flakes and season to taste. Stir to combine and let sit over very low heat for about 10 min.
- 3 Cook the pasta according to package directions. Reserve a cup of the pasta water.
- 4 Add the cooked pasta to the tomato sauce along with the pecorino. Stir vigorously until the penne is well coated. Thin with a little pasta water if necessary.
