Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1. Sift together dry ingredients, mix well.
  • 2. Mix together wet ingredients and incorporate into dry. Stir until smooth. You can adjust the batter at this point. Different day, different flour, different humidity = different batter. The batter should be stiff but moist and not almost dough.
  • 3. Drop by the teaspoon full (no bigger) into hot oil, 360-365 F. (182-185 C.) is good; turning after a few moments until golden brown on all sides.
  • 4. Remove and drain. Serve.
  • You can roll these in confectionery sugar while still warm or get creative. Dip warm doughnuts in chocolate sauce or chocolate or vanilla glaze, etc.
