- For The Pie Crust... shopping list
- 2 Cups Flour shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar shopping list
- 1/4 Cup Milk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon Salt shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Oil shopping list
- For The Filling... shopping list
- 2 Lemons...sliced paper thin shopping list
- 2 Cups Sugar shopping list
- 5 Eggs shopping list
How to make it
- When life gives you lemons...You shake it up!
- The Sun Will Shine Tomorrow!
- ~but~
- Tonight...The lemons must macerate in the sugar overnight!
- You say you want to put in your 'Fifty Eight Cents' worth?
- Okay!
- Here goes!
- For The Pie Crust...
- Mix dry ingredients together and form into a volcano...whisk the wet ingredients together and pour into the hill...mix just enough to moisten...divide and conquer...press in pie pan...roll out the other between two sheets of parchment paper and then cut out circles...kinda' like the sun and place on the top after you have laid in the macerated lemons.
- For The Filling...
- Place the sliced lemons and sugar in a bowl and allow to sit overnight
- The following day there after...beat the eggs and add them to the lemon mixture
- Pour into the pie crust that is patted into the pan...lay on the circles and allow them to overlap...Bake in a three hundred and fifty degree oven for approximately one hour...the crust should be browned and the filling set.
- When all is said and done...The pie will be just the right mix...sweet and tart.
