How to make it

  • 1 Crumble and cook the sausage in a little oil until browned, about 5 min.
  • 2 Chop the onion and mince the garlic, and cook along with the sausage until soft, about 5 min.
  • 3 Stir in the tomato products and seasonings. Simmer, covered, for at least 30 min.
  • 4 Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • 5 Combine the ricotta, egg and parsley, and season to taste.
  • 6 Spread a spoonful of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Build with three repeating layers: lasagna noodles, ricotta blend, meat sauce and shredded cheeses.
  • 7 Cover with foil and bake for 25 min, then remove foil and bake uncovered another 25 min. Let cool for at least 10 min to set.
