How to make it

  • 1. Simmer equal parts sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved and let it cool.
  • If you use raw sugar you’ll need to use a bit more sugar, about 1¼ cup of sugar to 1 cup water. Raw sugar will give you a delightfully complex, slightly caramel or molasses flavor.
  • This will keep forever in the pantry but shake or stir it well before you use it.
