How to make it

  • Preheat over to 400 degrees
  • Melt butter and put into 9 x 13 pan and spread evenly across bottom
  • generously sprinkle parmesan cheese and seasoning over the butter
  • Place the potato halves face down (skin side up ) in the baking dish** i forgot to say this when i first posted!
  • Bake for 40-45 mins
  • Cool at least 5 mins before removing from pan to insure crust will stick
  • serve with a side of sour cream.
  • Note: I made this recipe with red skin potatoes. I cut down on the butter (about 1/2 eyeballing it) and baked for about 30-35. They were fantastic!!!

    Sorry- I did not say "place the potato halves face down (skin side up in the baking dish" thats where the yummy crust forms!!!
