How to make it

  • Cream the bacel or Earth balance With the icing sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix by hand until everything comes together into a ball. Or you could add everything to KitchenAid mixer and mix it until it forms into a ball.
  • Roll out to desired thickness, I roll my out about a half an inch.
  • Cut into shapes with cookie cutters, bake in a preheated 350 degree oven Until lightly browned. Anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes depending on the thickness of the cookie mine take about 15 at half an inch.
  • I didn’t know if this would work with the changes from the regular butter and flour version, but it worked very well and very tasty.

I'm glad to know the GF flour worked so well! I made shortbread with the Earth Balance Buttery sticks last year and it was surprisingly good for not being 'real' butter! :)
