How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs, add vanilla and beat until smooth.
  • Beat in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until smooth.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and coconut.
  • Drop 2 tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then cool on the cookie sheet for five minutes before transferring to a rack.
  • *Good made with semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips.
