- 2 lbs. ground beef shopping list
- 1 chopped onion shopping list
- 1 small chopped cabbage, or 2 to 4 cups depending on your taste shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sea salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. pepper shopping list
- seasoning salt to taste, optional shopping list
- italian seasoning to taste, optional shopping list

- 2 c. warm water shopping list
- 1/2 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 6 1/2 - 7 c. flour shopping list
- 2 pkgs. yeast shopping list
- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening shopping list
- 2 tsp. salt shopping list
How to make it
- Filling:
- Brown beef with onion, salt, pepper, and other seasonings to your taste..
- Add cabbage to beef and cook until cabbage is kinda translucent.

- Dough:
- Dissolve yeast in water, add sugar, shortening, eggs, salt, 1/2 cup flour.
- Beat until smooth; add remaining flour.
- Roll dough out thin on floured surface.
- Cut into squares, approximately 13x7 inches.
- Place meat mixture inside, bring 4 corners together.
- Turn upside down on baking sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

- I found this variation on the net. The recipe was not quite the same. But I thought I could add this for those of you who might want to try it.

- Variation: Sprinkle your favorite cheese on meat mixture (can be frozen).
