How to make it

  • 1.Chop onion and garlic in food processor to equal about 1 cup of mix.
  • 2. In medium stock pot add 2 T. Olive oil, ground pork, and chopped onion/garlic mix. Sautee till pork is no longer pink and onion/garlic mix is soft.
  • 3. Add herbs and sautee another minute to release fragrance.
  • 4. Add chopped peppers and sautee another minute or so to sweat.
  • 5. Add tomato products, broth, bouillon, and fresh cracked black pepper.
  • Note ** I like to zing diced tomatoes up with an immersion blender
  • 6. Cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer.
  • 7. Add orzo and cook till pasta is tender.
  • To serve sprinkle with parmesan cheese to taste and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
