From grumpymomma 1 hour agoIngredients
- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp Baking Soda shopping list
- 1 tsp Baking Powder shopping list
- 1 tsp Salt shopping list
- 4 Large Eggs shopping list
- 3/4 cup Vegetable Oil shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract shopping list
- 20-25 Strawberries (about 1 1/2 cups), sliced and cut shopping list
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts/Walnuts (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- 1.Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease and flour two standard loaf pans (or line with parchment paper).
- 2.Combine Wet Ingredients. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- 3.Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- 4.Mix Batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing only until just combined. Do not overmix** or your bread will be tough.
- 5.Fold In: Gently fold in the strawberries (which you tossed with a bit of flour) and the nuts (if using).
- 6.Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared loaf pans. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
- 7.Check for Doneness: The loaves are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the tops brown too quickly, you can cover them lightly with foil for the last 15 minutes of baking.
- 8.Cool: Let the loaves cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing them to cool completely on a wire rack.
