🍓 Sandy's Quick Strawberry Fudge @copyright
From grumpymomma 3 hours agoIngredients
- 1 package (about 12 oz.) White Chocolate Chips shopping list
- 1 (14 oz.) can Sweetened Condensed Milk (do NOT use evaporated milk) shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons Butter shopping list
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract shopping list
- 20–25 Strawberries, sliced and finely chopped shopping list
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups Nuts of your choice (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- 1.Prep the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch and or 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper/foil.
- 2.Melt the Base: In a medium saucepan, combine the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
- 3.Heat Gently: Heat the mixture over **low heat**, stirring constantly. This step is crucial! Continue stirring until the chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and thick (this should take about 5–7 minutes). **Do not let it boil.**
- 4.Remove and Finish: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5.Add Flavor and Texture: Quickly fold in the chopped **strawberries** and the **nuts** (if using). Work fast, as the fudge will begin to set.
- 6.Spread and Chill: Immediately pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
- 7.Set: Allow the fudge to cool and set completely at room temperature for several hours, or chill it in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
- 8.Cut: Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut it into squares and store it in an airtight container.
