- 4 cups ripe chopped tomatoes:scalded, peeled ; stems and cores removed shopping list
- 1-4oz. can chopped chillies shopping list
- 2 large white onions, chopped shopping list
- 1 yellow pepper, seeded and chopped shopping list
- 1 red pepper, seeded and chopped shopping list
- 6-10 whole jalapeno peppers, chopped shopping list
- 1- 51/2 oz. can tomato paste shopping list
- 3/4 cup white vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. course pickling salt shopping list
- 2-3 tsp. paprika shopping list
- 4-6 minced garlic cloves shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat and leave uncovered. Stir occasionally.
- Boil gently for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally; until thickened to desired consistency.
- * Close to the end of cooking; taste to see if you would like to add more jalapeno peppers or garlic. If you should desire a richer taste; please do add more...personalize this recipe and make it yours.
- Fill hot, sterilized jars to within 1/2 inch of top of jar. Place sterilized metal lids on jars and screw metal bands on securely.
- * For added assurance against spoilage; use a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
