This ia a yummy recipe I got out of the Austin American-Statesman Foods section about 15 years ago. I always make it around the holidays and they always go fast.

Ingredients
  • 18 ounce box fudge cake mix without pudding
  • 3/4 cup melted margarine
  • 1 & 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 2 8 ounce packages cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 3 ounce package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Stir together in a medium bowl, dry cake mix, melted margarine and 3/4 cup of the pecans until well mixed.
  3. Press into bottom of a greased 9x13 inch pan.
  4. Stir sugar and the 2 8-ounce packages of cream cheese together in a medium bowl until well mixed.
  5. Spread evenly over cake mixture in pan.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave and add the 3-ounce package of cream cheese.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Swirl mixture through the cream cheese topping.
  9. Sprinkle with the other 3/4 cup of the chopped pecans.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  11. Cool thoroughly.
  12. When cool, cut in bars and chill in refrigerator before serving.
  13. Store in refrigerator.
  14. 24-30 bars.
