Almond Pie

- 1 9" unbaked pastry shell shopping list
- 1/2 c butter shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 c sugar shopping list
- 1/4 c honey shopping list
- 3/4 c light corn syrup shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 1/8 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 c toasted chopped almonds shopping list
- whipped cream for topping shopping list
- 1/3 c toasted slivered almonds for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- In a saucepan melt the butter over low heat until browned. This will take about 10 minutes. Cool.
- In a mixing bowl beat the eggs then add the sugar, corn syrup, honey, vanill and almond extracts, salt, and melted butter. Stir well to combine.
- Add the almonds in and pour into the pastry shell.
- Bake at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes then reduce heat to 325 and bake another 40 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Cool then garnish with whipped cream and extra toasted almonds.
