Ingredients
  • 2 boneless beef sirloins 21/2/1in thick
  • 1/2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped chilli
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt , pepper
  • mixed salad greens for serving
  • Herb dressing
  • 2tsps basil pesto
  • 1tsp chopped chilli
  • 1tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped shallots
  • 15ml olive oil
  • 55ml vinegar

Directions
  1. 1 place steaks in shallow dish, mix together garlic,chilli,oil,salt and pepper, pour over steaks stand for 30 mins
  2. 2 Heat barbecue gril to high,oil the grill.Sear meat 2 mins. on each side,turn down heat or move steaks to cooler part and cook for a further 8mins on each side . Brush with marinade during cooking. Rest 5mins before slicing.
  3. 3 Slice meat thinly and arrange on platter lined with salad greens. Mix dressing together and pour over beef
  4. Enjoy with a nice bottle of red
