Salsa Layer Dip

This dish is as easy as you want to make it and my family loves it - add your favourite nacho chips or pita or even veggies and you're good to go. Notes: 1. Take the cream cheese out of the fridge at least an hour before making - it is easier to mix together. Read more 2. Don't worry about getting each and every lump and bump worked out of the cream cheese/mayo mixture, especially if it is going to be a little while before serving 3. It is best if let sit for a while, even prepare day before - the flavours come together nicely over some time. See less
Ingredients
- 1 pkg cream cheese shopping list
- 1 cup mayo or 1/2 cup mayo & 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 2 green onions, chopped (optional) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp* chili powder (*to taste) shopping list
- salsa shopping list
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (or more, depending on the surface area of your dish) shopping list
- your favourite nacho chips or pita or veggies (or all) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix until blended - cream cheese, mayo, sour cream (if using)
- Add green onion and chili powder into mixture
- Spread mixture over bottom of shallow dish
- Spread salsa in generous layer over top of cheese mixture
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese generously over top of salsa
