From gingeryaudas 16 years agoIngredients
- 2 deep dish pie shells shopping list
- 1 dozen eggs shopping list
- 1 pkg breakfast sausage (NOT spicy variety) shopping list
- 1 pkg "Ready to Serve" bacon (15 slices) shopping list
- -may use regular raw bacon, cooked but remember this is a shopping list
- SIMPLE recipe shopping list
- 16 oz diced cooked ham (i buy the chunky salad kind when i can shopping list
- but usually dice up the cheap lunchmeant ham) shopping list
- 16 oz pkg grated cheddar/monterray jack shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove pie shells from package and, using a fork, poke several holes at the bottom of the pie shells. The
- pie shells will bake for 10 minutes; set aside, and change the oven temperature to 375 degrees.
- Begin browning the breakfast sausage (as you would ground beef).
- While the sausage is browning you may begin microwaving the bacon and setting it aside on a plate with paper towels. When the sausage is done browning, drain and set aside.
- Dice the ham (if you need to) into appx 1/2 inch squares.
- Chop the bacon into small 1/2 inch pieces as well.
- Layer all ingredients into both pie shells.
- Beat the entire dozen eggs (or 6 at a time if you prefer) and pour equal amount over each pie.
- Sprinkle all cheese on top of pies covering all the egg.
- Bake for 60 minutes and check quiches by inserting fork into center. If its extremely juicy it will need to cook for another 15 minutes. Let sit 10 minutes before serving. (its the perfect time to throw together a colorful salad!)
