Pork Tapang Batangas Recipe
a simple breakfast viand that goes well with fried rice or steamed rice. Tapa is a staple breakfast viand in the country. This is a pork version of that viand.

Ingredients
  • 1 kilo of pork lomo or kasim (loin or belly are okay to use), slice thinly into bite-sized strips
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of calamansi (philippine lemon) juice
  • 1 tsp of white pepper
  • 5 tbsp oil for frying

Directions
  1. the night before, mix the pork strips with the soy sauce, calamansi (lemon) juice and pepper. Marinate overnight.
  2. In the morning, Heat frying pan on high heat for 3 minutes.
  3. Once pan is hot, add the oil.
  4. Fry pork strips in soy sauce, calamansi and pepper marinade.
  5. PAt dry with paper towels.
  6. Serve with fried or steamed rice and fried egg.
