death by chocolate cookies

- 1 3/4 cups flour shopping list
- 3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened shopping list
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup 2 large eggs shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Line baking sheets with foil
- wisk or sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, set aside
- cream butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and corn syrup in a large bowl until creamy (1 min)
- Beat in eggs and vanilla on low speed
- stir in flour mixture with a spoon
- stir in chips and nuts
- chill dough 10 minutes
- keep dough in fridge in between batches of baking
- Bake cookes just until cookie centers look dull instead of shiny, 10-12 minutes. Cookies will feel soft to the touch, you might think they aren't done yet, but they really are.
- If there are any left over, store in an air tight container
