Grandma Helen's famous Chocolate cookies, a big favorite of the grandkids

Ingredients
  • 2 squares of chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of butter or crisco
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of sweet milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • (Nuts if desired)

Directions
  1. (waiting on clarification on these directions, this is all it has on the card. Check back soon and hopefully I will have more info on here)
  2. Melt chocolate and shortening together
  3. Add sugar, egg and milk
  4. Drop on well greased sheet
  5. Bake at 350 for 15 mins
  6. Makes approx 2 1/2 dozen
