Just a sauce, not something that you would put over pasta. Works well with lamb, chicken, smothering carrots, broccoili and other vegetables.

Ingredients
  • 3 Onions, thinnly sliced
  • 2 oz. Butter
  • salt, pepper and basil to taste
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 300 ml. Milk --or-- 250 ml. Milk and 50 ml. cream

Directions
  1. Melt butter in saucepan.
  2. On low heat, cook onions until soft and uncolored.
  3. Add seasonings.
  4. Stir in flour.
  5. Add milk
  6. Simmer for 5 minutes
