Chili with a kick

- 2 lbs. ground beef shopping list
- 1 large onion shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic (chopped finely) shopping list
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes, undrained shopping list
- 2 cans (8 oz each) hot tomato sauce shopping list
- 2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder shopping list
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1 can or bottle of beer shopping list
- 1/2 cup nacho-style jalepenos shopping list
- 2 cans (15-16 oz. each) pinto beans (rinsed and drained) shopping list
How to make it
- In a large pot, brown beef along with onions and garlic; drain.
- Stir in the rest of the ingredients except for the beans. Heat this until it's boiling and then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour. Stir occasionally.
- Add beans. Heat to boiling again, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Let stand for desired thickness.
