This is a simple and typical Chinese dish. My grandma used to cook this during her old days. The only difference is she cooked with a lot more sauce than meat, as life was not so easy at her times.

Ingredients
  • 600g Pork belly
  • 1 whole Garlic (peeled)
  • 4 Chinese Mushroom (soak for 30 mins and slice them)
  • 4 Pre- boiled Eggs
  • 1 spoonful Dark Soy Sauce
  • 10 spoonful Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 spoonful of Oyster Sauce (optional)
  • 2 spoonful Sugar
  • Pinch of Peppar

Directions
  1. Marinate the pork and mushroom with oyster sauce, pepper(a pinch) , dark & light soy sauce(1 spoon each)
  2. Heat up little oil
  3. Stir fry garlic till fragrant
  4. Add in marinated pork and mushroom, stir fry for 5 mins
  5. Add in sugar before transferring to the pot for braise
  6. Add in enough water to cover the meat in the pot
  7. Add in the pre-boiled eggs
  8. Braise in middle flame for an hour and more
  9. When sauce is thicken and the pork is tender, serve with rice
