This is the NON-ALCHOLIC recipe for the old christmas favorite.

Ingredients
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons rum extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg(optional)
  • 1 cup whipping cream -- beaten until stiff

Directions
  1. Beat eggs, sugar, and salt in top of double boiler or heavy pan.
  2. Add milk; mix and cook, stirring frequently, until mixture barely coats a metal spoon.
  3. Chill.
  4. Stir in extract and nutmeg.
  5. Fold in stiffly beaten whipping cream.
  6. Pour immediately into glasses and serve.
  7. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg, if desired.
