How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375F
  • Microwave baking bars in small, microwave safe bowl on high for 1 minute; stir
  • Microwave at additional 10-20 second intervals, stirring until smooth
  • Cool to room temperature
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl
  • Beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy
  • Beat in egg and melted chocolate
  • Beat in flour mixture
  • Stir in nuts
  • Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets
  • Bake for 8-9 minutes or until edges are set but centers are still slightly soft
  • Cool on baking sheets for 3 minuts; remove to wire racks to cool completely
