Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1 bar (2 oz. total) semi sweet chocolate baking bar, broken into pieces
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2-3 tbsp. milk

Directions
  1. Microwave butter and baking bar in small microwave safe mixer bowl on high for 45 seconds; stir
  2. Microwave at additional 10-20 second intervals, stirring until smooth
  3. Cool to room temperature
  4. Beat 1 cup sugar, vanilla extract and salt into chocolate mixture until creamy
  5. Gradually beat in remaining sugar alternately with milk until smooth
  6. ***Makes 2 cups frosting
