Ingredients
  • 4 squares (1 oz. each) semisweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup maple flavor syrup
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions
  1. Melt chocolate, butter and maple syrup over low heat, stirring occasionally
  2. Add confectioners sugar and vanilla; beatuntil smooth
  3. Allow frosting to cool until spreading consistency; stir before spreading
  4. ***Makes enough for a 2 layer 8 or 9 inch cake
