Ingredients
  • Broccoli
  • 3-4 potatos diced
  • a packet of soft garlic cheese eg boursin or la roule
  • 1 shallot diced
  • Crème fraîche
  • 8 rashers of smoky bacon thinley sliced
  • a small tub of heavy cream
  • a pint and a half of chicken stock

Directions
  1. First boil the broccoli and potato in the chicken stock until soft
  2. meanwhile fry the shallot until soft and translusent
  3. put all of the ingredients(including the stock) into a blender and wizz until smooth
  4. then break up the cheese and add to the mix with half of the cream and blend again
  5. put the smooth mixture in a big enough pan and heat gentaly
  6. whilst the soup is cooking fry the bacon pieces until golden and crispy
  7. when everything is ready ladle into bowls add a dolop of Crème fraîche to each one and sprinkle the bacon ontop
