Got this from one of our elderly church ladies. Tried it and loved it! Servings just depend.

Ingredients
  • COFFEE CAKE
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 3 tbsp margarine, melted

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350degrees.
  2. Grease and flour a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  3. Cream butter and sugar together.
  4. Beat in eggs, sour cream and vanilla.
  5. In a separate mixing bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter/ sugar mixture, beating well. Spread half of batter into prepared pan.
  7. Top with cherry pie filling.
  8. Add remaining batter over filling.
  9. To prepare topping, mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon, pecans and margarine.
  10. Spread evenly onto batter.
  11. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes or until top is golden.
