My mom used to make this all the time.. its good with some refried beans or mexican rice on the side

Ingredients
  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 pkg chili seasoning
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup crushed fritos
  • 1 small pkg sour cream
  • iceberg lettuce

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 350
  2. brown hamburger meat and onion
  3. add chili seasoning and water, bring to a boil, simmer 5-10 mins
  4. in square baking dish layer: meat, cheese, fritos
  5. bake 20 mins or until cheese is bubbly
  6. remove from oven, let cool for a few mins
  7. layer on top: lettuce, sour cream
