Ams Apple N Plum Plat Recipe
A small twist on a scone doe with a little added flavour

Ingredients
  • Base:
  • 3 cups self raising flour
  • 1 tbs sour cram
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 to 1 c milk
  • Filling:
  • 1 apple sliced skin off or on
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1tbs cinnamon
  • filling extras:
  • 1 plum sliced, sultanas, chocolate buttons added extra what ever you like with apple also nice without any of these extras (don't add more than one)

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 180c
  2. beat eggs
  3. mix in milk & sour cram
  4. Sift in flour and salt
  5. mix with butter knife
  6. roll out doe not to thin about 1cm
  7. place filling in middle leaving 4cm on each side
  8. make slits in doe diagonally (downwards)
  9. fold top & bottom of doe over filling
  10. cross matching slits from either side over each other so it looks like a plat until no slits are remaining
  11. brush milk and butter over the top to keep doe from unfolding
  12. cook until brown on top
  13. serve warm or cold
  14. don't forget to dust with sugar for presentation
  15. serve with cream, ice cream and sliced straw berries
