How to make it

  • preheat oven to 180c
  • beat eggs
  • mix in milk & sour cram
  • Sift in flour and salt
  • mix with butter knife
  • roll out doe not to thin about 1cm
  • place filling in middle leaving 4cm on each side
  • make slits in doe diagonally (downwards)
  • fold top & bottom of doe over filling
  • cross matching slits from either side over each other so it looks like a plat until no slits are remaining
  • brush milk and butter over the top to keep doe from unfolding
  • cook until brown on top
  • serve warm or cold
  • don't forget to dust with sugar for presentation
  • serve with cream, ice cream and sliced straw berries
