How to make it

  • FILLING:
  • Cook rice in 4c. water adding 2t. salt.
  • Boil 5 min.
  • Add chocolate & melt.
  • Add remaining ingredients & eggs.
  • Beat slightly. Should be a soft liquid.
  • CRUST:
  • Make a well in flour & add all ingredients at one time.
  • Use hands as mixture thickens & work until smooth.
  • Divide into 3 parts & roll like a pie crust.
  • Fill one pie plate to about 1/4" from the top.
  • Fill with the pie filling.
  • Roll the dough for the side (top) like a rope & crimp as you go.
  • Bake 350F for 15-20 min. Reduce to 275F for about 1 hr.
  • Makes 2 pies.
