Almond Crisps Recipe
This snack is great for everyone .... anytime, anywhere.... I do it for Christmas, New Year, as and when request is being made...

Ingredients
  • 120 g flour
  • 200 g almond nuts
  • 120 g sugar
  • 200 g egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp vanillin powder

Directions
  1. Day 1...
  2. 1.Grease and line a 7" X 7" square baking tin.
  3. 2. Preheat oven at 180 degree celsius.
  4. 3. Whisk egg whites and sugar until stiff.
  5. 4. Stir in almond nuts, flour and vanillin powder, fold gently.
  6. 5. Pour into lined baking tin.
  7. 6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. 7. Cool cake. Cut into 4 long parts.
  9. 8. Wrap it and put into freezer for a day.
  10. Day 2...
  11. 1. Preheat oven at 180 degree celsius.
  12. 2. Remove cake (1 part @ a time) from freezer, slice it about 3 mm thick, arranging them apart on a 14"X14" tray lined with aluminium foil.
  13. 3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly brown.
  14. 4. Transfer to a bigger tray to cool.
  15. 5. When the 'crisps' has completely cool, put them in a air-tight container. (It last up to 6 months)
  16. Tips:
  17. I always prepare no.2 all in advance and put them in the fridge, taking 1 tray at a time to bake so that when you bake, you can consistently bake tray after tray without wasting time and electricity!
  18. If you are using oven with multiple shelves, you may bake it using turbo fan @160 degree celsius for 10 minutes. Then you will cut down alot of time and electricity!!
  19. Assurance:
  20. It may looked difficult and troublesome to make, but, i assure you that it will be much easier when you do it the 2nd time, become expert the 3rd time!
  21. *This is certainly a healthy snack!
