How to make it

  • Place butter in a large (8 cup) glass measuring cup.
  • Microwave for 60 seconds.
  • Add flour, bouillon cubes and garlic.
  • Microwave for 60 seconds, and then stir.
  • Add 2 cups of milk, microwave 2 minutes, stir.
  • Add next 2 cups of milk, microwave 2 minutes, stir.
  • Add last 2 cups of milk, microwave 2 minutes, stir.
  • Continue to microwave in 2 minute increments and stir each time, do this until you get your desired thickness.
  • Just add to a recipe that calls for a "cream of soup", makes what equals to about 3 cans of soup.

    Good post. Mom always made a white sauce she put over toast and grated boiled eggs. Wasn't the same as this one but similar. She didn't use the bouillon. I was going to get it from her but she passed before I could.
