Pickeled Dates

- 3lb dates shopping list
- 1 pint vineger shopping list
- 1 tsp allspice shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 oz (30g)coarse salt shopping list
- 1 tsp ginger powder shopping list
- 1 tsp powdered or grated nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 oz (15g)chilli powder shopping list
- 1 tsp cloves shopping list
How to make it
- Boil vinegar,cloves ,spices and sugar into a syrup.
- Stone and half the dates and put into a jar.
- Remave cloves from syrup and pour boiling syrup over the dates.(heat the jars so that they won't crack when the syrup is poured into them)
- Cool,cover with foil and airtight cover.
- Keep for two weeks when it will be really ready.
- Shake the bottle from time to time.
- PS:ceramic jars are best for pickles
