Slow Cooker Sweet And Sour Brisket Recipe
This recipe puts a new spin on boring brisket. And when cooked in the crockpot, it's not at all tough. Even my three year old loves this recipe!

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 lbs. flat cut brisket
  • 28 oz. crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion, sliced thinly
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper

Directions
  1. 1. Place tomatoes, onion, garlic, brown sugar and lemon juice in slow cooker and stir.
  2. 2. Sprinkle brisket with salt and pepper. Be careful not to use too much salt.
  3. 3. Place brisket on tomato mixture and spoon 1/2 of tomato mixture on meat.
  4. 4. Cover and cook on high 5-6 hours.
  5. 5. Transfer brisket to a cutting board. Tent with foil and let stand 10 minutes.
  6. 6. Slice brisket across grain and serve.
