Red Lobsters Basil-Rubbed Fresh Fish With Langostino Lobster Alfredo Recipe

Ingredients
  • * 1 cup olive oil
  • * 2 ounces fresh basil leaves (separated)
  • * 1 container prepared Alfredo sauce
  • * 8 ounces lobster or langostino lobster meat
  • * 4 pieces of your favorite fresh fish* (5-6 ounces each)

Directions
  1. Basil Rub:
  2. Steep basil and oil over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes. Drain and discard basil leaves.
  3. In a blender, mix basil infused oil, ¼ teaspoon each kosher salt and ground black pepper and additional 1 ounce basil leaves. Blend for approximately 15 seconds.
  4. Langostino Lobster Alfredo Sauce:
  5. Mix lobster or langostino lobster meat with your favorite ready-to-use Alfredo sauce.
  6. Heat sauce until you’re ready to plate the food.
  7. Fresh Fish:
  8. Brush the fish with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  9. Grill fish over a medium grill until it reaches an internal temperature of 150 degrees, approximately 6-7 minutes per side depending on thickness.
  10. Once the fish is cooked, brush well with the basil oil.
  11. Divide the langostino lobster Alfredo between the 4 portions of fish and place over the middle third of the fish.
  12. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and a lemon wedge.
  13. Note
  14. *Tilapia, salmon and grouper work especially well in this dish.

Langostino is not lobster in any way. Even though the tail looks exactly like a miniature lobster and has similar but richer flavor. It is actually a member of the shrimp family. Lobster catchers have been suing everyone for calling it lobster. Restaurants sell it at lobster prices even though it should be priced at about half. I just purchased 1 lb, shelled and frozen for $15. I believe (could be wrong)it is only harvested in the Med off the coast of Italy.
